Healing the Sacred Feminine
I firmly believe that healing the world begins with healing the historical and modern wounds of the feminine. To celebrate and honor women and the sacred feminine, I offer opportunities to join together in sisterhood. These events and workshops are hosted regularly at True North Yoga’s studios in Schroon Lake and Keene Valley, New York. I would love to help you create similar offerings at your location. New Moon Goddess Circle
The New Moon Goddess Circle provides a safe, sacred space for women to discuss spiritual and healing issues, to practice earth-centered meditations and rituals, to explore the teachings of nature-based traditions, and to discover the goddess within. By sharing thoughts, feelings and ideas within the framework of ritual, we inspire and support each woman’s individual spiritual journey.
Together we celebrate the wheel of the year and the moon’s cycle, honor the sacred feminine within ourselves and others, and learn to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature. Each circle has a theme based on a mythological goddess, lunar astrology, and the season.
New Moon Goddess Circles are held monthly at True North Yoga in Schroon Lake, New York. Visit True North Yoga’s website for the next date.
Red Tent Temple
The Red Tent Temple Movement was created to give women a place to incubate, dream, slow down, and not have an agenda or plan. It is also not only empty space but woman space where we can share stories, laughter, and songs, and honor our unique cycles and innate creativity. My sacred sisters and I have created a Red Tent Temple for our community as part of that movement.
Throughout the year, the Red Tent is raised and the door is open to women who are seeking ways of being in relationship to each other that support and foster us, and give us strength and courage. In the Red Tent you can journal, rest, receive or give energy work, meditate, draw, read, share or listen to women’s wisdoms in the stories we share.
You are welcome to bring personal items to charge on one of the altars, tarot or divination cards, books, a journal, a craft project to work on, or something to share, or simply come as you are and explore what is there.
True North Yoga’s Keene Valley, New York, studio is transformed into a Red Tent Temple a number of times each year. Visit the studio’s website for the next date.
Chandra Namaskar, or the Moon Salutation, is a physical, psychological, and spiritual counterbalance to the Sun Salutation. The Moon Salutation enacts the journey of descent – sinking into the depths to discover one’s innate creative power – and honors the sacred feminine in the practice of yoga.
During a Moon Salutation workshop, you will explore the circular flow of the traditional lunar dance as well as moon salutation variations and the stillness of yin yoga. Moon salutations invite deep opening in the hips, a loving awareness of your womb space, an emotional release, and an energetic lightening.
You can experience the circular flow of moon salutations next at True North Yoga:
