NCWC Introduction to Turtle Rehabilitation

Debbie will be one of the instructors for North Country Wild Care’s Introduction to Turtle Rehabilitation class for licensed wildlife rehabilitators in northeastern NY.
Due to their unique anatomy, injured turtles are challenging to rehabilitate but releases are very gratifying. Learn turtle care in the rehabilitation setting. We will begin with basic turtle physiology, discuss intake, triage, and stabilization, then cover husbandry, including dry docking during recovery, wound management, and water setups in preparation of release.
WARNING: The presentation will include graphic photos of turtle injuries. The class (and turtle rehab) is not recommended for those who are sensitive to blood or severe injuries.
