SUMMARY:Mountain River Ecospiritual Circle at UUCGF
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join in a Full Moon ritual inspired by earth-based spiritual traditions\, the Work the Reconnects\, and nature itself. We gather monthly to support one another’s spiritual growth and direct our collective energy toward the well being of all beings. \nThe intention of our circle is to support your individual spiritual exploration and growth while connecting Pagans and others in a local\, welcoming group. Within our sacred space you will honor the Earth\, open to Mystery\, and strengthen your connection to Nature. Our inclusive circle is open to all\, including Pagans\, Wiccans\, Witches\, Druids\, Heathens\, and those exploring or curious about any ecospiritual path. No ritual experience is necessary. \nWeather permitting\, we gather on the grass in front of the UU building\, next to the pollinator garden and the labyrinth. Otherwise\, we meet inside in the Community Room\, straight ahead when you enter the main door. Our full moon gatherings will typically follow this format: announcements\, centering\, connecting with local wild beings\, casting the circle\, calling the directions/elements\, meditation or other practice\, ritual\, releasing directions/elements\, closing the circle. Participants are welcome to stay after the circle is closed for informal social time. Our circles will be family-friendly\, but we ask that children not participating in the ritual remain in the room with quiet entertainment. \n\n\n\n\nOur July circle for the Moon of Fire includes a guided shamanic drum journey to be chosen by an animal whose species you will represent in a “Council of All Beings\,” based on the work of Joanna Macy and John Seed. If you desire to lay down for the journey\, please bring extra blankets or cushions and something safe for the grass such as a beach or picnic blanket or sheet. \nYou are welcome to walk the labyrinth before or after the circle. Feel free to arrive early to do so. \n\n\nSome of our circle members like to bring their journals to record any insights. You are also welcome to bring items from nature to add to our altar\, as well as crystals or other sacred items to charge. We typically sit on the floor or ground for circle\, however there are chairs available and several circle members use them. With inspiration from new animism\, deep ecology\, and shamanism; ideas from authors such as Stephan Harding\, Deborah Bird Rose\, David Abram\, and Starhawk; and anecdotes from Debbie’s work as a wildlife rehabilitator\, this workshop addresses why saving the Earth’s biodiversity should be an imperative for all Pagans. Debbie invites support and protection of wild beings with practical how-tos for tending life-affirming ecosystems large and small\, and shares some ecospiritual practices and rituals that invoke the magic and mysticism of nature and ground us in an expanded sense of belonging in the wild world. The workshop will include a meditation practice and a community-created eco-grief ritual.

DESCRIPTION:Gather on Zoom with like-hearted ecospiritual souls to celebrate Lughnasadh\, honoring the first harvest of grain and abundance\, reimagined for modern times. Manifest with the energy of ripening grains in ritual. Consider what you are trying to bring into the world. We will power it up in circle together! \nDuring the Lughnasadh ceremony\, you will also be guided in a journey with the shamanic drum and receive a group animal spirit oracle card reading. And we will be honoring mice and their energy throughout. Through the virtual platform you will be able to see the ceremonial altar\, as if you were in circle around it. \nRegister below by July 29th to receive my Lughnasadh ceremony worksheet with altar creation ideas and a sneak peak at the divination spread in case you want to pull cards along with me. The small $10 charge helps to cover the costs of these and other low- and no-cost ecospiritual offerings. Plan to be present for about an hour.
