SUMMARY:NCWC Introduction to Turtle Rehabilitation
DESCRIPTION:Debbie will be one of the instructors for North Country Wild Care’s Introduction to Turtle Rehabilitation class for licensed wildlife rehabilitators in northeastern NY.\n\nDue to their unique anatomy\, injured turtles are challenging to rehabilitate but releases are very gratifying. Learn turtle care in the rehabilitation setting. We will begin with basic turtle physiology\, discuss intake\, triage\, and stabilization\, then cover husbandry\, including dry docking during recovery\, wound management\, and water setups in preparation of release.\n\nWARNING: The presentation will include graphic photos of turtle injuries. The class (and turtle rehab) is not recommended for those who are sensitive to blood or severe injuries.\nWe are being hosted by a North Country Wild Care sponsor in Saratoga Springs\, NY. SUMMARY:Mountain River Ecospiritual Circle at UUCGF
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join in a Full Moon ritual inspired by earth-based spiritual traditions\, the Work the Reconnects\, and nature itself. We gather monthly to support one another’s spiritual growth and direct our collective energy toward the well being of all beings. \nThe intention of our circle is to support your individual spiritual exploration and growth while connecting Pagans and others in a local\, welcoming group. Within our sacred space you will honor the Earth\, open to Mystery\, and strengthen your connection to Nature. Our inclusive circle is open to all Pagans\, including Wiccans\, Witches\, Druids\, Heathens\, and those exploring or curious about any Pagan path. No ritual experience is necessary. \nWe meet in the Community Room of the UU building\, straight ahead when you enter the main door. Our circles will be family-friendly\, but we ask that children not participating in the ritual remain in the room with quiet entertainment. \nSome of our circle members like to bring their journals to record any insights. You are also welcome to bring items from nature to add to our altar\, as well as crystals or other sacred items to charge. We typically sit on the floor for circle\, however there are chairs available and several circle members use them. We have some yoga blankets available to sit on and you are welcome to bring your own cushion or blanket for that purpose. \nRSVP on Eventbrite.
