DESCRIPTION:Gather virtually with like-hearted souls to celebrate the ancient Celtic festival of Imbolc\, celebrating the midpoint of astrological winter and the hope of spring to come. Imbolc has been reimagined for modern times by practitioners of Wicca\, Druidry\, and other neo-Pagan traditions. By engaging in ceremonies throughout the year\, you reconnect with the Earth’s rhythms and cycles and remember the ancestral wisdom you carry in your DNA. \nDuring the Imbolc ceremony\, you will by guided in a journey with the shamanic drum\, receive a group animal spirit oracle card reading\, and participate in a powerful ritual of faith in new beginnings and growth. Through the virtual platform you will be able to see the ceremonial altar\, as if you were in circle around it \nRegister to join us on Zoom. Your investment is $10. Plan to be present for about an hour. This ceremony will not be recorded\, so please mark your calendar. \nIf possible\, please have a small sprig of evergreen\, a cast iron or other type of fireproof cauldron or pot\, and a lighter or matches. If you do not have these or cannot safely burn the greens where you are\, they will be visible on the ceremonial altar for the benefit of everyone participating. \n

SUMMARY:Mountain River Circle at UUCGF
DESCRIPTION:Honor the Moon of the Seer and join an open\, eclectic\, earth-based circle for full moon ritual in Queensbury\, NY. The intention of our circle is to support your individual spiritual exploration and growth while connecting Pagans in a local\, welcoming group. Within our sacred space you will honor the Earth\, open to Mystery\, and strengthen your connection to Nature. Our inclusive circle is open to all Pagans\, including Wiccans\, Witches\, Druids\, Heathens\, and those exploring or curious about any Pagan path. No ritual experience is necessary. \nOur full moon gatherings will typically follow this format:  announcements\, casting the circle\, calling the directions/elements\, mediation and/or ritual\, releasing directions/elements\, closing the circle\, “cakes and ale” (refreshments)\, social time with optional open drumming. Our circles will be family-friendly\, but we ask that children not participating in the ritual remain in the room with quiet entertainment. \nAs our circle grows\, we will organize into a CUUPS (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans) chapter.
