SUMMARY:Mountain River Circle at UUCGF
DESCRIPTION:Join an open\, eclectic\, earth-based circle in ritual for the Moon of the Waters. We will be honoring the rain and the flowing life force and creating nurturing affirmations in ritual. If possible\, please bring a small jar of water from a favorite place in nature. \nThe intention of our circle is to support your individual spiritual exploration and growth while connecting Pagans in a local\, welcoming group. Within our sacred space you will honor the Earth\, open to Mystery\, and strengthen your connection to Nature. Our inclusive circle is open to all Pagans\, including Wiccans\, Witches\, Druids\, Heathens\, and those exploring or curious about any Pagan path. No ritual experience is necessary. \nWe meet in the Community Room of the UU building\, straight ahead when you enter the main door. Our full moon gatherings will typically follow this format: announcements\, casting the circle\, calling the directions/elements\, mediation and/or ritual\, releasing directions/elements\, closing the circle\, “cakes and ale” (refreshments)\, social time with optional open drumming. Our circles will be family-friendly\, but we ask that children not participating in the ritual remain in the room with quiet entertainment. \nAs our circle grows\, we will organize into a CUUPS (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans) chapter. There will be opportunities for those who wish to step into leadership or supporting roles to do so. \nRSVPs appreciated!

SUMMARY:Online Beltane Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Gather virtually with like-hearted souls to celebrate the ancient Celtic festival of Beltane\, or May Day\, celebrating the creativity and fertility of the Earth in bloom. Beltane has been reimagined for modern times by practitioners of Druidry\, Wicca and other neo-Pagan traditions. By engaging in ceremonies throughout the year\, you reconnect with the Earth’s rhythms and cycles and remember the ancestral wisdom you carry in your DNA. \nDuring the Beltane ceremony\, you will by guided in a journey with the shamanic drum\, receive a group animal spirit oracle card reading\, and participate in a ritual of gratitude for blessings with colorful ribbons in a nod to the traditional Maypole dance. Through the virtual platform you will be able to see the ceremonial altar\, as if you were in circle around it. \nPlan to be present for about an hour. This ceremony will not be recorded\, so please mark your calendar. \nIf possible\, please have some brightly colored ribbons or fabric scraps cut to about ten inches long\, a pen or marker that will write on the ribbon\, and\, if possible\, a small tree branch. If you do not have these\, please know that I will have them on the ceremonial altar for the benefit of everyone participating. If you do not have a branch\, you can tie your ribbons outside after the ceremony.
