SUMMARY:Mountain River Circle at UUCGF
DESCRIPTION:Join an open\, eclectic\, earth-based circle in ritual for the Moon of the Harvest. \nThe intention of our circle is to support your individual spiritual exploration and growth while connecting Pagans in a local\, welcoming group. Within our sacred space you will honor the Earth\, open to Mystery\, and strengthen your connection to Nature. Our inclusive circle is open to all Pagans\, including Wiccans\, Witches\, Druids\, Heathens\, and those exploring or curious about any Pagan path. No ritual experience is necessary. \nWe meet in the Community Room of the UU building\, straight ahead when you enter the main door. Our full moon gatherings will typically follow this format: announcements\, casting the circle\, calling the directions/elements\, mediation and/or ritual\, releasing directions/elements\, closing the circle\, “cakes and ale” (refreshments)\, social time with optional open drumming. Our circles will be family-friendly\, but we ask that children not participating in the ritual remain in the room with quiet entertainment. \nRSVPs are appreciated\, but not required.

DESCRIPTION:Gather virtually with like-hearted souls to celebrate the ancient Celtic festival of Mabon\, honoring the autumnal equinox\, balance\, and the harvest at summer’s end\, reimagined for modern times by practitioners of Wicca and other neo-Pagan traditions. By engaging in ceremonies throughout the year\, you reconnect with the Earth’s rhythms and cycles and remember the ancestral wisdom you carry in your DNA. \nDuring the Mabon ceremony\, you will by guided in a journey with the shamanic drum\, receive a group animal spirit oracle card reading\, and participate in an empowering ritual of thanksgiving. We will be honoring squirrels and their energy throughout the ceremony. Through the virtual platform you will be able to see the ceremonial altar\, as if you were in circle around it. \nRegister at the event website link below to join us on Zoom on Sunday\, September 24th at 7:30pmEDT. Your investment is $10. Plan to be present for about an hour. This ceremony will not be recorded\, so please mark your calendar. \nIf possible\, please have a journal or paper and something to write with\, and\, for the ritual\, a blank note card or paper and an envelope\, a pen\, a glass of apple juice or cider\, a small loaf or piece of bread\, and a large bowl . If you do not have some or all of those items\, they will be on the ceremonial altar as well for the benefit of everyone participating.
