SUMMARY:Mountain River Ecospiritual Circle at UUCGF
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join in a Full Moon ritual inspired by earth-based spiritual traditions\, the Work the Reconnects\, and nature itself. We gather monthly to support one another’s spiritual growth and direct our collective energy toward the well being of all beings. \nThe intention of our circle is to support your individual spiritual exploration and growth while connecting Pagans and others in a local\, welcoming group. Within our sacred space you will honor the Earth\, open to Mystery\, and strengthen your connection to Nature. Our inclusive circle is open to all\, including Pagans\, Wiccans\, Witches\, Druids\, Heathens\, and those exploring or curious about any ecospiritual path. No ritual experience is necessary. \nWeather permitting\, we gather on the grass in front of the UU building\, next to the pollinator garden and the labyrinth. Otherwise\, we meet inside in the Community Room\, straight ahead when you enter the main door. Our full moon gatherings will typically follow this format: announcements\, centering\, connecting with local wild beings\, casting the circle\, calling the directions/elements\, meditation or other practice\, ritual\, releasing directions/elements\, closing the circle. Participants are welcome to stay after the circle is closed for informal social time. Our circles will be family-friendly\, but we ask that children not participating in the ritual remain in the room with quiet entertainment. \n\n\n\n\nOur September circle for the Moon of the Harvest includes work with acorns. Please bring some if you have easy access to them. You are welcome to add other nature items to our altar\, too. \nYou are welcome to walk the labyrinth before or after the circle. Feel free to arrive early to do so. \n\n\nSome of our circle members like to bring their journals to record any insights. You are also welcome to bring items from nature to add to our altar\, as well as crystals or other sacred items to charge. We typically sit on the floor or ground for circle\, however there are chairs available and several circle members use them. We have some backjacks and yoga blankets available to sit on and you may also bring your own cushion or blanket for that purpose. \nTo help plan for ritual supplies and space requirements\, RSVPs for this free event are appreciated. \nPlease RSVP on Eventbrite

SUMMARY:Virtual Mabon Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Gather on Zoom with like-hearted ecospiritual souls to celebrate Mabon\, honoring the autumnal equinox\, balance\, and the harvest at summer’s end\, reimagined for modern times. Mabon season is a time for gratitude\, when we thank the Earth for all that has grown with the help of our hands and all that has been gifted to us from the web of life. We will do just that in our Mabon ritual. \nDuring the Mabon ceremony\, you will also be guided in a journey with the shamanic drum and receive a group animal spirit oracle card reading. We will be honoring squirrels and their energy throughout the ceremony. Through the virtual platform you will be able to see the ceremonial altar\, as if you were in circle around it. \nRegister to join us on Zoom on Tuesday\, September 23rd at 7:30pmEDT. The small $10 charge helps to cover the costs of these and other low- and no-cost ecospiritual offerings. Plan to be present for about an hour. This ceremony will not be recorded\, so please mark your calendar. \nRegister by September 20th to receive my Mabon ceremony worksheet with altar creation ideas and a sneak peak at the divination spread in case you want to pull cards along with me. \nIf possible\, please have a journal or paper and something to write with\, and\, for the ritual\, a blank note card or paper and an envelope\, a pen\, a glass of apple juice or cider\, a small loaf or piece of bread\, and a large bowl. If you do not have some or all of those items\, they will be on the ceremonial altar as well for the benefit of everyone participating. \nBy engaging in ceremonies throughout the year\, you reconnect with the Earth’s rhythms and cycles and remember the ecological wisdom you carry in your DNA.
