DESCRIPTION:Join an open\, eclectic\, earth-based circle for full moon ritual in Queensbury\, NY. The intention of our circle is to support your individual spiritual exploration and growth while connecting Pagans in a local\, welcoming group. Within our sacred space you will honor the Earth\, open to Mystery\, and strengthen your connection to Nature. Our inclusive circle is open to all Pagans\, including Wiccans\, Witches\, Druids\, Heathens\, and those exploring or curious about any Pagan path. No ritual experience is necessary. \nOur full moon gatherings will typically follow this format:  announcements\, casting the circle\, calling the directions/elements\, mediation and/or ritual\, releasing directions/elements\, closing the circle\, “cakes and ale” (refreshments)\, social time with optional open drumming. Our circles will be family-friendly\, but we ask that children not participating in the ritual remain in the room with quiet entertainment. \nAs our circle grows\, we will organize into a CUUPS (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans) chapter. There will be opportunities for those who wish to step into leadership or supporting roles to do so. \nNo pre-registration is necessary.

DESCRIPTION:Gather virtually with like-hearted souls to celebrate the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain\, honoring the final harvest\, the ancestors\, and the shift into the dark\, reimagined for modern times by practitioners of Wicca and other neo-Pagan traditions. By engaging in ceremonies throughout the year\, you reconnect with the Earth’s rhythms and cycles and remember the ancestral wisdom you carry in your DNA. \nDuring the Samhain (pronounced soo-ween) ceremony\, you will by guided in a journey with the shamanic drum\, receive a group animal spirit oracle card reading\, and participate in a ritual of sending messages to those who have passed. And we will be honoring barred owls and their energy. Through the virtual platform you will be able to see the ceremonial altar\, as if you were in circle around it. \nRegister here to join us on Zoom. Plan to be present for about an hour. This ceremony will not be recorded\, so please mark your calendar. \nIf possible\, please have a journal or paper and something to write with\, and\, for the ritual\, a piece of  paper\, a pen\, small cast iron pot (or other fireproof container) on a heatproof pad\, a tealight candle\, and a lighter or matches. If you do not have some or all of those items\, they will be on the ceremonial altar as well for the benefit of everyone participating. Options will be given for those who cannot safely burn paper indoors.
