DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join in a full moon ritual inspired by earth-based spiritual traditions\, the Work the Reconnects\, and nature itself. We gather monthly to support one another’s spiritual growth and direct our collective energy toward the well being of all beings. \nThe intention of our circle is to support your individual spiritual exploration and growth while connecting Pagans and others in a local\, welcoming group. Within our sacred space you will honor the Earth\, open to Mystery\, and strengthen your connection to Nature. Our inclusive circle is open to all\, including Pagans\, Wiccans\, Witches\, Druids\, Heathens\, and those exploring or curious about any Pagan path. No ritual experience is necessary. \nWeather permitting\, we will meet in the grassy area in front of the UU building\, next to the labyrinth. Please dress for outdoors. If it rains\, we will be inside in the Community Room\, straight ahead when you enter the main door. Our circles will be family-friendly\, but we ask that children not participating in the ritual remain in the room with quiet entertainment. \nOur June ritual includes drumming and a labyrinth walk. Please bring a drum if you have one. There will also be extras to borrow. Dress appropriately for an evening outdoors. \nSome of our circle members like to bring their journals to record any insights. SUMMARY:Virtual Litha Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Gather on Zoom with like-hearted ecospiritual souls to celebrate the Summer Solstice. Called Litha by many modern Pagans\, the Summer Solstice is when the Sun is at its peak in the northern hemisphere and there is the longest amount of daylight. By engaging in ceremonies like this one throughout the year\, you reconnect with the Earth’s rhythms and cycles and remember the connection to nature woven into your DNA. \nDuring the Litha ceremony\, you’ll be guided in a journey with the shamanic drum\, receive a group animal spirit oracle card reading\, and participate in a ritual of connecting with the strong sun energy to elevate your vibration and empower your will to manifest your desires. We will be honoring North American solitary bees throughout\, lending some energy to the protection of our precious native pollinators. Through the virtual platform you will be able to see the ceremonial altar\, as if you were in circle around it. \nRegister below by June 20th to receive my Litha ceremony worksheet with altar creation ideas and a sneak peak at the divination spread in case you want to pull cards along with me. The small $10 charge helps to cover the costs of these and other low- and no-cost ecospiritual offerings. Plan to be present for about an hour. This ceremony will not be recorded\, so please mark your calendar. \nIf possible\, please have a drum\, rattle\, or other noisemaker\, a yellow or orange candle (a white one will work – it’s the intention that matters) in a safe holder\, and a lighter or matches. Our inclusive circle is open to all\, including Pagans\, Wiccans\, Witches\, Druids\, Heathens\, and those exploring or curious about any ecospiritual path. No ritual experience is necessary. \nWeather permitting\, we gather on the grass in front of the UU building\, next to the pollinator garden and the labyrinth. Otherwise\, we meet inside in the Community Room\, straight ahead when you enter the main door. Our full moon gatherings will typically follow this format: announcements\, centering\, connecting with local wild beings\, casting the circle\, calling the directions/elements\, meditation or other practice\, ritual\, releasing directions/elements\, closing the circle. Participants are welcome to stay after the circle is closed for informal social time. Our circles will be family-friendly\, but we ask that children not participating in the ritual remain in the room with quiet entertainment. \n\n\n\n\nOur August circle for the Moon of Delight includes a guided meditation to explore the challenges and opportunities of your life\, based on the work of Joanna Macy. If you desire to lay down for the meditation\, please bring extra blankets or cushions and something safe for the grass such as a beach or picnic blanket or sheet. \nYou are welcome to walk the labyrinth before or after the circle. Feel free to arrive early to do so. \n\n\nSome of our circle members like to bring their journals to record any insights. You are also welcome to bring items from nature to add to our altar\, as well as crystals or other sacred items to charge. We typically sit on the floor or ground for circle\, however there are chairs available and several circle members use them. SUMMARY:CNY Pagan Pride Day
DESCRIPTION:Central New York Pagan Pride Day (CNY PPD) is a celebration of Pagan and Earth-based spirituality. The event features a public midday ritual and a closing drum circle. There are speakers\, workshops\, and performances throughout the day\, over 80 vendors and readers\, and community tables for area covens and spiritual organizations. The entrance food and donation drive benefits the Food Bank of CNY. \nDetails will be added as they become available. \nCNY PPD was established in 2000 as part of the larger Pagan Pride Project. Church of the Greenwood has hosted the annual event since 2002 and has built the festival to be one of the largest in the northeastern United States. \nDebbie will be presenting Wild Community: Practices to cultivate connection with Earth’s biodiversity\, at this year’s CNY PPD.\nClimate and extinction crises threaten our beloved Earth community and\, ultimately\, us\, but there is hope to be found in care for nature inspired by Paganism. With inspiration from new animism\, deep ecology\, and shamanism; ideas from authors such as Stephan Harding\, Deborah Bird Rose\, David Abram\, and Starhawk; and anecdotes from Debbie’s work as a wildlife rehabilitator\, this workshop addresses why saving the Earth’s biodiversity should be an imperative for all Pagans. Debbie invites support and protection of wild beings with practical how-tos for tending life-affirming ecosystems large and small\, and shares some ecospiritual practices and rituals that invoke the magic and mysticism of nature and ground us in an expanded sense of belonging in the wild world. The workshop will include a meditation practice and a community-created eco-grief ritual.

DESCRIPTION:Gather on Zoom with like-hearted ecospiritual souls to celebrate Mabon\, honoring the autumnal equinox\, balance\, and the harvest at summer’s end\, reimagined for modern times. Mabon season is a time for gratitude\, when we thank the Earth for all that has grown with the help of our hands and all that has been gifted to us from the web of life. We will do just that in our Mabon ritual. \nDuring the Mabon ceremony\, you will also be guided in a journey with the shamanic drum and receive a group animal spirit oracle card reading. We will be honoring squirrels and their energy throughout the ceremony. Through the virtual platform you will be able to see the ceremonial altar\, as if you were in circle around it. \nRegister to join us on Zoom on Tuesday\, September 23rd at 7:30pmEDT. The small $10 charge helps to cover the costs of these and other low- and no-cost ecospiritual offerings. Plan to be present for about an hour. This ceremony will not be recorded\, so please mark your calendar. \nRegister by September 20th to receive my Mabon ceremony worksheet with altar creation ideas and a sneak peak at the divination spread in case you want to pull cards along with me. \nIf possible\, please have a journal or paper and something to write with\, and\, for the ritual\, a blank note card or paper and an envelope\, a pen\, a glass of apple juice or cider\, a small loaf or piece of bread\, and a large bowl. If you do not have some or all of those items\, they will be on the ceremonial altar as well for the benefit of everyone participating. \nBy engaging in ceremonies throughout the year\, you reconnect with the Earth’s rhythms and cycles and remember the ecological wisdom you carry in your DNA.
