No ritual experience is necessary. \nWeather permitting\, we gather on the grass in front of the UU building\, next to the pollinator garden and the labyrinth. Otherwise\, we meet inside in the Community Room\, straight ahead when you enter the main door. Our full moon gatherings will typically follow this format: announcements\, centering\, connecting with local wild beings\, casting the circle\, calling the directions/elements\, meditation or other practice\, ritual\, releasing directions/elements\, closing the circle. Participants are welcome to stay after the circle is closed for informal social time. Our circles will be family-friendly\, but we ask that children not participating in the ritual remain in the room with quiet entertainment. \n\n\n\n\nOur August circle for the Moon of Delight includes a guided meditation to explore the challenges and opportunities of your life\, based on the work of Joanna Macy. SUMMARY:CNY Pagan Pride Day
DESCRIPTION:Central New York Pagan Pride Day (CNY PPD) is a celebration of Pagan and Earth-based spirituality. The event features a public midday ritual and a closing drum circle. There are speakers\, workshops\, and performances throughout the day\, over 80 vendors and readers\, and community tables for area covens and spiritual organizations. The entrance food and donation drive benefits the Food Bank of CNY. \nDetails will be added as they become available. \nCNY PPD was established in 2000 as part of the larger Pagan Pride Project. Church of the Greenwood has hosted the annual event since 2002 and has built the festival to be one of the largest in the northeastern United States. \nDebbie will be presenting Wild Community: Practices to cultivate connection with Earth’s biodiversity\, at this year’s CNY PPD.\nClimate and extinction crises threaten our beloved Earth community and\, ultimately\, us\, but there is hope to be found in care for nature inspired by Paganism. With inspiration from new animism\, deep ecology\, and shamanism; ideas from authors such as Stephan Harding\, Deborah Bird Rose\, David Abram\, and Starhawk; and anecdotes from Debbie’s work as a wildlife rehabilitator\, this workshop addresses why saving the Earth’s biodiversity should be an imperative for all Pagans. Debbie invites support and protection of wild beings with practical how-tos for tending life-affirming ecosystems large and small\, and shares some ecospiritual practices and rituals that invoke the magic and mysticism of nature and ground us in an expanded sense of belonging in the wild world. The workshop will include a meditation practice and a community-created eco-grief ritual.

DESCRIPTION:Gather on Zoom with like-hearted ecospiritual souls to celebrate Mabon\, honoring the autumnal equinox\, balance\, and the harvest at summer’s end\, reimagined for modern times. Mabon season is a time for gratitude\, when we thank the Earth for all that has grown with the help of our hands and all that has been gifted to us from the web of life. We will do just that in our Mabon ritual. \nDuring the Mabon ceremony\, you will also be guided in a journey with the shamanic drum and receive a group animal spirit oracle card reading. We will be honoring squirrels and their energy throughout the ceremony. Through the virtual platform you will be able to see the ceremonial altar\, as if you were in circle around it. \nRegister to join us on Zoom on Tuesday\, September 23rd at 7:30pmEDT. The small $10 charge helps to cover the costs of these and other low- and no-cost ecospiritual offerings. Plan to be present for about an hour. No ritual experience is necessary. \nUnless we are blessed with an unusually warm and dry fall evening\, we will meet inside in the Community Room\, straight ahead when you enter the main door. Participants are welcome to stay after the circle is closed for informal social time. And we will be honoring barred owls and their energy. Through the virtual platform you will be able to see the ceremonial altar\, as if you were in circle around it. \nPlan to be present for about an hour. This ceremony will not be recorded\, so please mark your calendar. \nIf possible\, please have a journal or paper and something to write with\, and\, for the ritual\, a piece of  paper\, a pen\, small cast iron pot (or other fireproof container) on a heatproof pad\, a tealight candle\, and a lighter or matches. SUMMARY:Adirondack EcoSpiritual Circle
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to honor the Earth\, open to Mystery\, and strengthen your connection to Nature during a New Moon circle. We gather monthly when the moon is dark to soothe our psyches\, develop our intuition\, and support each other’s spiritual growth as interconnected beings in the web of life. Rituals are inspired by earth-based spiritual traditions and nature itself. \nBring tarot or oracle cards\, or your favorite divination tool\, your journal\, anything you would like to charge on our altar\, and a blanket or cushion to sit on. There is no charge for this community event but RSVPs are appreciated. \n
