All supplies will be provided\, but if you have a small jar or bowl you would like to use\, please bring it. Make sure you can cover it so it doesn’t spill on the way home. \nThe intention of our circle is to support your individual spiritual exploration and growth while connecting Pagans and others in a local\, welcoming group. Within our sacred space you will honor the Earth\, open to Mystery\, and strengthen your connection to Nature. Our inclusive circle is open to all Pagans\, including Wiccans\, Witches\, Druids\, Heathens\, and those exploring or curious about any Pagan path. No ritual experience is necessary. \nWe meet in the Community Room of the UU building\, straight ahead when you enter the main door. Our circles will be family-friendly\, but we ask that children not participating in the ritual remain in the room with quiet entertainment. \nSome of our circle members like to bring their journals to record any insights. What is emerging that you can nurture in the new season? \nGather virtually with like-hearted souls to draw on the potential of Ostara season and celebrate\, in ceremony\, the astrological beginning of spring. \nDuring the Ostara ceremony\, you will by guided in a journey with the shamanic drum\, receive a group animal spirit oracle card reading\, and participate in a powerful ritual of drawing forth potential. Through the virtual platform you will be able to see the ceremonial altar\, as if you were in circle around it. \nRegister to join us on Zoom on Thursday\, March 20th at 7:30pmEDT. Your investment is $10. Plan to be present for about an hour. This ceremony will not be recorded\, so please mark your calendar. \nIf possible\, please have a few seeds and a small pot filled with soil for the ritual. A paper cup\, egg carton section\, or seed-starting cup will do\, too. Choose seeds you will want to see grow throughout the season – vegetable\, herb\, or flower. DESCRIPTION:Debbie will be presenting at a Virtual Conference of Pagan Throught & Practice. The theme is “The Perilous Passage: Creating Culture and Connection in Treacherous Times.” \nFrom the conference website: Recent events have ushered us into a time when it is increasingly unsafe to be different. Whether the difference is rooted in religion\, sexual orientation\, gender identity\, nationality\, or race\, individuals and communities face growing threats to their safety\, identity\, and very existence. Join us as we collectively imagine and articulate ways to sustain difference\, foster safety\, and build resilient cultures in times of uncertainty and transformation. \nDebbie’s presentation is “Wild Community: Pagan spirituality centered in saving Earth’s biodiversity.” Pagans often differ in their beliefs\, but most agree we feel a connection to the Earth and more-than-human life. We are drawn to the mystery and wonder of the wild. Climate and extinction crises threaten our beloved Earth community\, but there is hope to be found in our culturally-based care for nature. With inspiration from new animism\, deep ecology\, and shamanism; ideas from authors such as Stephan Harding\, Deborah Bird Rose\, David Abram\, and Starhawk; and anecdotes from Debbie’s work as a wildlife rehabilitator\, this talk reveals why saving the Earth’s biodiversity should be an imperative for all Pagans. Debbie invites support and protection of wild beings with practical how-tos for tending life-affirming ecosystems large and small\, and shares ecospiritual practices and rituals that invoke the magic and mysticism of nature and ground one in an expanded sense of belonging in the wild world. Debbie concludes that doing this work together builds safe and strong Pagan communities rooted in hope for a sustainable future and well-being for all beings. \nThe Virtual Conference of Pagan Thought and Practice focuses on where ideas\, belief\, and practice meet\, articulating academic and philosophical ideas into Contemporary Pagan spiritual and religious practices\, and conversely examining how these practices align with and make evident Contemporary Pagan beliefs\, ideas\, and philosophies. DESCRIPTION:Gather on Zoom with like-hearted ecospiritual souls to celebrate the Summer Solstice. Called Litha by many modern Pagans\, the Summer Solstice is when the Sun is at its peak in the northern hemisphere and there is the longest amount of daylight. By engaging in ceremonies like this one throughout the year\, you reconnect with the Earth’s rhythms and cycles and remember the connection to nature woven into your DNA. \nDuring the Litha ceremony\, you’ll be guided in a journey with the shamanic drum\, receive a group animal spirit oracle card reading\, and participate in a ritual of connecting with the strong sun energy to elevate your vibration and empower your will to manifest your desires. We will be honoring North American solitary bees throughout\, lending some energy to the protection of our precious native pollinators. Through the virtual platform you will be able to see the ceremonial altar\, as if you were in circle around it. \nRegister below by June 20th to receive my Litha ceremony worksheet with altar creation ideas and a sneak peak at the divination spread in case you want to pull cards along with me. The small $10 charge helps to cover the costs of these and other low- and no-cost ecospiritual offerings. Plan to be present for about an hour. Our inclusive circle is open to all\, including Pagans\, Wiccans\, Witches\, Druids\, Heathens\, and those exploring or curious about any ecospiritual path. No ritual experience is necessary. \nWeather permitting\, we gather on the grass in front of the UU building\, next to the pollinator garden and the labyrinth. Otherwise\, we meet inside in the Community Room\, straight ahead when you enter the main door. Our full moon gatherings will typically follow this format: announcements\, centering\, connecting with local wild beings\, casting the circle\, calling the directions/elements\, meditation or other practice\, ritual\, releasing directions/elements\, closing the circle. Participants are welcome to stay after the circle is closed for informal social time. Our circles will be family-friendly\, but we ask that children not participating in the ritual remain in the room with quiet entertainment. \n\n\n\n\nOur July circle for the Moon of Fire includes a guided shamanic drum journey to be chosen by an animal whose species you will represent in a “Council of All Beings\,” based on the work of Joanna Macy and John Seed.
