Setting 2026 Intentions as a Multipassionate Ecospiritual Minister

By January 7, 2026No Comments

Defining annual intentions and objectives as a solopreneur is often a challenge. For me, it’s complicated by two things: I am a multipassionate individual and I am a minister dedicated to ecospiritual work. In other words, I’m trying to accomplish several objectives that are aligned for me but also compete for my time, and I’m building a ministry centered in spiritual ecology, which is new and doesn’t come with an established religious institution where I can just go to get a job.

Maybe “solopreneur” or “multipassionate” is resonating with you. When I first read “multipassionate,” not too long ago, I almost screamed with excitement that there is actually a word for how I am. I felt seen. If nothing else, I could set intentions for several pillars of growth.

Nonprofit Leadership#

I intend to develop as both a leader and as a wildlife rehabilitator. My nonprofit has an expanded board of directors this year, so as executive director I’ll be learning to work with them to create communication and fundraising strategies that will not take over my days. I have, after all, turtles to care for, and I would like to get better at that, too. One goal is to write down our organization’s standard procedures for injury care and husbandry, which I can use to train the volunteers I’m going to recruit and to hold myself accountable in my day-to-day work. I’m also going to complete the training I started at last year’s New York State Wildlife Rehabilitation Conference and get on the oiled wildlife response team for my region. Oil spills in inland waterways are a threat not just to birds but to turtles and snakes, and this is work I believe my turtle rescue should be ready for.

Shamanic Reiki for All Beings Teacher#

I intend to offer outstanding Shamanic Reiki for All Beings trainings and fill the classes. I spent most of last year developing the curriculum for the levels and I’m happy with the results. The part about filling them is a stretch goal because I’m not great at promoting myself, but they are my main source of revenue and I’d like to grow that. To be honest, money is only a small part of why I offer these trainings, but having enough money to donate to my nonprofit to support our work of saving turtles is important to me.

Ecospiritual Minister#

I intend to grow my ministry and become an in-demand speaker on the intersection of spirituality and ecology. I will be graduating in May with a master’s degree in ecology, spirituality and religion, which I believe will add to my credibility, but I already have a good deal of experience as a minister. In addition to having more paid opportunities to lead worship services, I intend to book three keynote speeches and two half-day seminars. Again, this is a stretch goal, but if you have some leads for me, please let me know.

Writer#

“Writer” is not on my business card, but I have always been a writer and have even been paid for a few articles I’ve written. There is a book in my near future which will emerge from this blog, so I intend to write at least one hundred blog posts in 2026 and, by the end of the year, compile those posts into the skeleton of a book. I’m sharing my writing intention so you can hold me accountable.

The two challenges I face in manifesting my intentions are promoting my work as an introvert and managing my schedule effectively so I am giving attention to each of those intentions. I do have one more semester of graduate school to complete as well, so I have to allow time for homework and papers until May. Send me some energy, please!
